Louisville to Face Syracuse in ACC Tournament Wednesday

The University of Louisville softball team has earned the No. 8 seed in the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference championship and will open the tournament on Wednesday at 1 p.m. when the Cardinals take on ninth-seeded Syracuse at Pittsburgh's Vartabedian Field.
The winner of game one will advance to the quarterfinals to face top-seeded Virginia Tech on Thursday at 11 a.m.
The 2022 ACC Softball Championship will continue with Friday's semifinals at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and will conclude with Saturday's championship game at 1 p.m.
ACC Network and ESPN2 will provide 18 hours of live coverage of the ACC Softball Championship. The first three rounds will be broadcast on ACC Network, and ESPN2 will carry the championship game, with studio breaks in between games.
The Cardinals enter the tournament with a 27-24 overall record and a 10-14 mark in ACC play. Syracuse (25-20, 7-15 ACC) is coming off of a sweep of North Carolina to earn the No. 9 seed.
Louisville owns a 27-11 edge in the series between the teams. The Cardinals swept the 2022 series which was played April 15-17 at Ulmer Stadium. UofL won the first game 8-0 and took the next two by scores of 4-1 and 3-2.

All-session ticket books are sold out, but limited single-session tickets are available by visiting PittsburghPanthers.com/tickets or by calling the Panthers Ticket Office at 800-643-7488. Single-session tickets are $10. All seating will be general admission and all tickets will be digital. Current students at ACC institutions will receive free admission with a valid school ID.
Active military/veterans will receive free admission with a valid military ID, and youth ages two or younger will also receive free admission.
