Donnet Named ACC Men's Tennis Co-Singles Player of the Week

The University of Louisville's Etienne Donnet has been named the Athletic Coast Conference Men's Singles Co-Singles Player of the Week.

Donnet helped the Cardinals to three wins over the weekend including two victories against ACC opponents. On Sunday, the freshman from Lyon, France secured the win against Georgia Tech with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-1 victory over No. 12 Andres Martin at the No. 1 spot. He also teamed with senior Alex Wesbrooks to post a pair of doubles wins including to help Louisville take the doubles points against Georgia Tech and Tennessee State on Sunday.

With the weekend singles victories, he has posted five straight wins and improves to 9-5 on the season in singles with a 7-4 record in dual matches at the No. 1 spot.

The Cardinals (10-4, 2-0 ACC) will hit the road for a pair of ACC matches starting with a Friday contest at Virginia Tech followed by a Sunday showdown at No. 18 Virginia.
