
Cardinals Hit the Road to Face Georgia Tech and Clemson

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team hits the road this weekend, when the Cardinals will face Georgia Tech and Clemson to continue conference play.
Louisville squares off against No. 36 Georgia Tech on Friday at 3 p.m. and Clemson on Sunday at noon.
The No. 72-ranked Cardinals (7-4, 0-3 ACC) are looking to snap a three-match losing skid going into Friday's match. Louisville is coming off a 5-2 defeat to No. 35 Notre Dame on Mar. 6 with Tyra Richardson and Chelsea Sawyer recording two singles wins for the Cardinals. The pairing of Andrea Di Palma and Rhea Verma entered the ITA Doubles Rankings at No. 71. Mark Beckham is in his 13th season leading the Cardinals.
Georgia Tech (6-4, 3-1 ACC) is coming off a 6-1 win over Boston College and are led in doubles by No. 12 Carol Lee and Kate Sharabura and No. 13 Kylie Bilchev and Ava Hrastar. The Yellow Jackets are led in singles by Lee, who is ranked No. 77 with a 16-3 record, and Mahak Jain who is second on the team with 14 wins. Rodney Harmon is his 10th season at the helm.
Clemson (6-6, 0-4 ACC) is coming off a 4-0 loss to Syracuse on Mar. 6. Jenna Thompson leads the Tigers in singles with 14 wins and the pairing of Cristina Mayorova and Daniella Medvedeva leads the team in doubles with eight victories. Head coach Christy Lynch is in her second season leading the Tigers.
