
Cardinals Fall to Georgia Tech

Atlanta, Ga. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 5-2 to No. 35 Georgia Tech at the Byers Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.
Georgia Tech raced out to a 1-0 lead, winning on 6-4 on Court 3 and 6-2 on Court 2 to clinch the doubles point.
In singles, the Yellow Jackets extended their lead to 3-0 with wins on Courts 6 and 3. Louisville responded when Tyra Richardson defeated Rosie Garcia Gross 6-2, 6-1 to get the Cardinals on the board. Georgia Tech won the next two singles matches to take a 5-1 lead for the match. Tatiana Simova rallied to defeat Mahak Jain 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) to secure a second match point for Louisville.
The Cardinals will face Clemson on Sunday at noon for the second match of their two-match road trip.
