
Louisville Announces 2023 Softball Schedule

The 2023 slate includes 21 home games with one tournament at Ulmer Stadium
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville and head softball coach Holly Aprile have released the Cardinals' 2023 schedule which includes 21 home games with one tournament at Ulmer Stadium.
The 54-game spring slate also features 18 contests against eight opponents which finished last season ranked among the top 25 in the NFCA, USA Softball and D1Softball.com coaches polls including top-ranked 2022 national champion Oklahoma. View the complete schedule here.

Louisville's 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference schedule includes matchups against Pittsburgh (March 17-19), NC State (March 24-26), Syracuse (March 31-April 2), Notre Dame (April 6-8), Virginia (April 21-23), Boston College (April 28-30) and Florida State (May 5-7). The Cards will also play midweek games against Charlotte (March 14) Eastern Kentucky (March 21), Kentucky (March 29), Indiana (April 11) and Western Kentucky (April 19).

The Cardinals will be tested early in NFCA Leadoff Classic Feb. 10-12 in Clearwater Fla. In its opening weekend, Louisville will face No. 21/21/19 Kentucky and No. 23/22/22 Missouri along with South Alabama, Southern and Howard. The second week of February will bring a trip to Atlanta as UofL takes on Wisconsin and Illinois in ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Louisville will wrap up the month of February at the UCF Knight's Classic where they will take on the host No. 14/15/13 Knights twice as well as Columbia, Bradley and Purdue.

After three straight weeks on the road, the Cards will open a six-game stretch at Ulmer Stadium starting on Feb. 28 with a game against cross-town rival Bellarmine before hosting No. 6/6/6 Northwestern as well as Northern Kentucky and Toledo in the Cardinal Classic March 3-5.

Louisville will then hit the road for an extended trip to the state of North Carolina starting with a three-game series at Duke in its ACC opener and will close out the road stretch with a contest at Charlotte.
ACC play will resume at Ulmer Stadium with a three-game series against Pitt.. After a midweek trip to Eastern Kentucky, the Cards will play host to NC State in a three-game conference series the following weekend.

The Cardinals will kick off a four-game road stretch at Kentucky before traveling to Syracuse for a three-game ACC set.

Louisville will play host to Notre Dame in a three-game series starting on Thursday. After a midweek matchup at Indiana, the Cardinal will host Miami (Ohio) on Friday and travel to Oxford, Ohio to face top-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday and close out the weekend with a home doubleheader against Oakland.

The Cards will go back on the road for four straight games, including a midweek matchup at Western Kentucky followed by a trip to Virginia.

Boston College will visit Ulmer Stadium for Louisville's final home series of the regular season April 28-30 as Louisville honors the senior class of 2023.

The Cardinals will conclude the regular season with a three-game ACC series at No. 13/13/12 Florida State before heading to South Bend, Ind., for the 2023 ACC Softball Championship which will be held May 10-13 at Melissa Cook Stadium. Â
