NOTE CARDS
• The Cardinals bring a 9-2 record and an 0-2 mark in ACC play into the weekend after a 3-1 win against VCU on Sunday. Prior to that, the Cardinals fell 2-0 at then-No. 7 Virginia.

• Graduate transfer Sasha Elliott (9-2) carries a 1.00 goals against average and leads the ACC while standing second in the nation with an .838 save percentage .
• Aimee Plumb leads the team offensively with 14 points (4G, 6A). Julie Kouijzer and Katie Schneider have scored four goals apiece.
• Plumb was recently named to the NFHCA Collegiate Watch List. She was also selected to the 2022 Preseason All-ACC Field Hockey team in a vote by the league's seven head coaches. The Cardinals were picked to finish fifth in the regular season

Scouting the Demon Deacons: Wake Forest (8-3, 1-1 ACC) bring a three-game win streak entering the weekend, most recently with a 4-1 win over Davidson on Monday.
• Wake Forest is led offensively by Meike Lanckohr's 24 points (8G, 8A). Ellie Todd (8-2) carries a 1.60 goals against average with two shutouts on the season.

Scouting the Flames: 2021 NCAA Runner-Up Liberty brings a 7-4 record into the weekend prior to a BIG EAST contest at Villanova on Friday. Last weekend, the Flames defeated Quinnipiac 5-0 Friday, but fell 6-3 to top-ranked North Carolina Sunday.
•Liberty is led offensively by Daniella Rhodes who has tallied nine goals and nine assists for 27 points. Lizzie Hamlett (8G, 4A) and Bethany Dykema (6A, 8A) follow closely with 20 points apiece.
• Azul Iritxity Irogoyen (7-4) carries a 1.25 goals against average with five shutouts on the season.

CARDS SEVENTH IN NFHCA COACHES POLL
UofL stands at No. 7 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association rankings released on Oct. 4. The Cards slipped two spots after a 2-0 loss at then-No. 7 Virginia and a 3-1 win at VCU last weekend. Prior to that, Louisville was ranked in the top five for four straight weeks, reaching as high as No. 4. The Cards started the 2022 campaign at No. 9 in the preseason poll.
• The Cards have been ranked among the top 10 for the last 36 ranking periods spanning back to the 2019 season when they appeared at No. 8 on Sept. 10.
• Louisville has now spent 101 consecutive weeks in the top 20 in the nation dating back to the 2013 season.
