Kibiwot Selected as ACC Cross Country Men's Freshman Performer of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville men's cross country freshman Ian Kibiwot has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Freshman Performer of the Week in the first weekly honor of the 2021 season.
He is the first Louisville cross country athlete to receive the honor since Isaac Kiprop was selected on Oct. 9, 2019.
Kibiwot made his collegiate cross country debut with a first-place finish at the Tennessee Dual. He recorded a four-mile time of 20:00.25 to lead four Cardinals in the top 10.
The Cardinals will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 2 for the Live in Lou Classic, which will be held at E.P Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky.
