Cardinal Forever Federico Gomez Reaches Quarterfinals of ITF Cancun F2 Tournament

University of Louisville men's tennis alum Federico Gomez has advanced to the quarterfinals of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) F2 Tournament.
Gomez, who graduation from UofL in 2019, defeated Pietro Mugelli 6-2, 6-3 in the first round and followed with a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Joshua Sheehy. In the round of 16, the Buenos Aires, Argentina native topped Jaimee Floyd Angele 7-6, 5-2 (ret.).
Gomez will take on Emil Reinberg in the quarterfinals Friday at 11:30 a.m.
