
Louisville Lacrosse Opens Fall Play on Saturday

Louisville lacrosse starts its fall ball season on Saturday hosting Louisville Play Day.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's lacrosse kicks off its fall season on Saturday with the Louisville Play Day tournament at UofL Lacrosse Field.

Louisville Play Day is a four-team, day long tournament featuring Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Youngstown State. The Cardinals will play the first game of the day, taking on UIndy at 10 am. Next, they will face off against Youngstown State at 12 pm before ending the day against Cincinnati at 2 pm.

Each team will play three games, broken down to four 12-minute quarters. There will be two-minute intervals between each quarter and a six-minute intermission between each game.

All games are free and open to the public to attend.

Louisville was recently tabbed No. 21 in USA Lacrosse Magazine's Early 2022 rankings. The team will use its fall ball schedule to improve and build chemistry as a unit with 10 new freshmen joining the squad.Â

Up next, the Cards travel to Nashville, Tenn. on Sunday, Oct. 3 to face off against Vanderbilt at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex.
