
Tickets Available for Louisville Men’s Basketball Team’s Charity Softball Event

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Tickets are now available for a charity softball game featuring the University of Louisville men's basketball team and staff to be played on Monday, July 19 at 6 p.m. in Jim Patterson Stadium.
There is no set admission fee for Louisville Basketball: The Show, as fans can to donate to the charity Jaxen's Journey, remembering UofL strength and conditioning coach Andy Kettler's son Jaxen, who lost his life to brain cancer at the age of two in July 2016. Kettler and his wife Kimbraly started Jaxen's Journey to benefit pediatric cancer research. Support can be provided at the stadium entrances or through the organization's website at www.jaxensjourney.com. Donations to Jaxen's Journey may also be made through PayPal at jaxensjourney@gmail.com, or through Venmo to @Jaxens-Journey.
Tickets may be obtained online at this link. Fans may select the quantity of tickets requested at no charge, add them to their cart, and proceed to check out with an opportunity to make a donation toward Jaxen's Journey.
The event will include a postgame autograph session, an exclusive trading card set featuring the team members, contests and other promotions. On site raffles opportunities will be available to win exclusive prizes and game day experiences. Concession and merchandise sales will be open for the game.
The teams were chosen in a draft with fifth-year senior forward Malik Williams and graduate transfer guard Jarrod West making the selections. The lineup for "Team Williams" includes student-athletes Dre Davis, Mike James, Drew Schultz, Roosevelt Wheeler, Samuell Williamson and Jae'Lyn Withers; plus staff members director of operations Taylor Barnette, graduate manager Christen Cunningham, strength and conditioning coach Andy Kettler, assistant coach Ross McMains, assistant coach Mike Pegues, and director of academic services Kamari Wooten.
"Team West" will counter with student-athletes Sam Bearden, Brad Colbert, Matt Cross, El Ellis, Noah Locke, Ashton Myles-Devore, JJ Traynor and Gabe Wiznitzer; as well as staff members head trainer DeVante Frazier, assistant coach Kahil Fennell, head coach Chris Mack, and graduate manager Seth Tatum. Ellis was the top pick in the draft.

Through the efforts of Kroger, all food collected will benefit the Cardinal Cupboard, the university's campus food pantry for students. Fans who contribute food items will receive a free raffle ticket for an opportunity to win Kroger gift cards.
