Louisville ACC selection named to CRCA/ARI Recruiting All-Conference Team
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville rower McKenzie Sweeney, an All-ACC rower, has been named to the College Rowing Coaches Association/ARI Recruiting All-Conference team. Â

The 2021 Division I ARI RECRUITING All-Conference Team replaces the previous All-Region award given by the CRCA. This group recognize the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains from each Division I rowing conference. Â

"McKenzie has been a big part of our program over the last few years," said Derek Copeland, UofL head coach. "We are excited for her to be recognized in this way. Always a top performer, a team captain for multiple years and a great teammate McKenzie deserves this honor. With a good offseason, she will be a contender for All-American next year alongside a couple of her teammates."

Sweeney, rowed First Varsity Eight versus Notre Dame, Â at the Big Ten Invitational, versus Michigan/Iowa, and at the ACC Championships.

An outstanding student, she was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, a Red & Black Scholar, made the Spring 2021 Dean's List, and is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society.
