Bitting, Plumb Named to NCAA Division I Field Hockey All-Tournament Team

The University of Louisville's Alli Bitting and Aimee Plumb were named to the NCAA Division I Field Hockey All-Tournament team as announced following Sunday's NCAA championship game.

Bitting, a senior midfielder and team co-captain from Hummelstown, Pa. and Plumb, a freshman forward from Canterbury, England become the first NCAA All-Tournament selections after the Cardinals advanced to their first NCAA field hockey Final Four.

In the semifinal, No. 3 UofL fell short to No. 2 Michigan in a sudden-victory shootout. Michigan would go on to a runner-up finish, falling in overtime as top-ranked North Carolina picked up its third straight national championship.

Louisville finished the season with a 14-6 overall record and ranked No. 3 in the NFHCA coaches poll.
