
Salle, Hernandez Earn All-ACC Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Fabien Salle and Sergio Hernandez each received All-ACC honors following the conclusion of the conference season. Salle was selected to the All-ACC second team, while Hernandez was named to the third Team.
Salle is currently No. 58 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) singles rankings. He currently leads the team in singles and holds a 13-2 overall record and is 7-0 against ACC opponents, playing mostly at No. 2. The junior from Geneva, Switzerland is currently on a five-match winning streak. Additionally, he was named ACC Player of the Week on March 3 and was the ITA UTR Player of the Week on March 19. He appeared in the ITA singles rankings five times, reaching as high as No. 57.
Salle has amassed a 10-5 doubles record with Matthew Fung – the duo is No. 53 in the ITA doubles rankings.
Hernandez (Medellin, Colombia) currently stands at No. 75 in the singles rankings. The junior currently holds an overall singles record of 12-5 and is 5-4 in ACC play, primarily at the team's three spot. He is also 10-5 in doubles, playing mostly at No. 2.
The Cardinals are looking towards the NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament. The selection show will take place Monday May 3rd at 6:30 p.m.
