Cardinals Represented in ITA Individual and Team Rankings

Louisville, Ky. – Three University of Louisville men's tennis players appear in the latest ITA National Tennis rankings while the Cardinals stand at No. 49 in the team rankings.
In singles, Fabien Salle remains ranked at No. 57. Salle is currently on a four-match winning streak and holds a 12-2 overall record in dual match play. In his last four matches he has defeated two ranked players and last week took down Chris Rodesch 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 against No. 5 Virginia.
Sergio Hernandez stands at No. 81 in the latest rankings with a 12-5 overall record in dual match play for the Cardinals. Entering Louisville's match against No. 5 Virginia last week, he defeated No. 78 Carlo Donato 7-6, 7-5 for his 12th win of the season.
In doubles, Salle and Matthew Fung improve to No. 45. Salle and Fung lead the Cardinals in doubles with a 11-8 overall record in dual match play. The current ACC Doubles Team of the Week is on a two-match winning streak, last defeating No. 5 Virginia's doubles team 6-2.
The Cardinals (9-11) will return to action tomorrow in the ACC Championship Tournament held in Rome, Ga. as they face No. 7 seeded Duke at 6 p.m.
