Cardinals Set for ACC Men's Tennis Championships

Louisville, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's tennis team is all set to compete in the 2021 ACC Men's Tennis Championship Tournament. Louisville has earned the No. 10 seed in this year's tournament, which will be held at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.
The 10 seeded Cardinals (9-11, 3-8 ACC) will square off against the 7 seed Duke, Thursday, April 22. Live scoring may be viewed here. Selected matches will be live streamed here.
ATTENDANCE POLICY: Due to COVID protocols, no public tickets will be available for the 2021 ACC Tennis Championships. Admission to each match of the event will be limited to family and guests of team personnel. Each team will be allowed two complimentary pass admissions per travel party member (no more than 26 per team). Those individuals can be in the venue for their team's match only. The ACC will be using the indoor courts at the Rome Tennis Center (six courts) and also Georgia Tech's indoor courts (if needed). The ACC will not allow spectators at the Georgia Tech indoor courts, spectators will be allowed in the Rome indoor courts. Spectators will be required to mask.

Scouting the Blue Devils: Duke (11-9, 6-5, ACC) enters the ACC Tournament Championship as the 7th seed and currently ranked 41 in the latest ITA rankings. The Blue Devils are currently on a two-match winning streak defeating Florida State and No. 43 Miami to end the regular season. Andrew Zhang leads the team in singles, holding a 10-4 record in dual match play. Duke has two players ranked in the ITA rankings for singles with No. 94 Garrett Johns and No. 119 Edu Guell. - In the latest ITA National rankings, Louisville sits at No. 50. In singles, Fabien Salle sits at No. 57 and Sergio Hernandez sits at No. 71. For doubles, the duo of Salle and Matthew Fung are currently ranked No. 63. Tin Chen and Hernandez sit at No. 89.
- Louisville is currently on a three-match losing streak coming off a home senior day loss to No. 5 Virginia on Sunday afternoon.
- No. 57 Salle is currently on a four-match winning streak and holds a 12-2 overall record in dual match play. In his last four matches he has defeated two ranked players and last week took down Chris Rodesch 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 against No. 5 Virginia.
