Sanga Named to All-ACC Cross Country Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Louisville's Purity Sanga has been named to the All-ACC Cross Country Academic Team as announced by the league office today.

Sanga, a redshirt junior from Kapsabet, Kenya competed in four meets in her first cross country season at UofL after transferring from Tennessee Tech. She compiled some impressive results, winning the Blazer Classic 6K with a personal-best time of 20:43 and placing third in the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic with her collegiate best time of 16:54.8. The public health major was named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and the Dean's List in the fall.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
