Louisville fall 4-3 to Tigers
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 4-3 to Clemson Sunday afternoon in the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

 In doubles, Rhea Verma and Andrea Di Palma beat Cristina Mayorova and Sophia Hatton 6-2 as the first pair to finish. However, Raven Neely and Chelsea Sawyer fell 6-4 at No. 2 and Dina Chaika and Nikolina Jovic fell 6-4 at No. 3 to give the Tigers the doubles point.

In singles, Clemson struck first when Mayorova defeated Jovic 6-4, 6-2 and Hatton was able to upset No. 93-ranked Di Palma 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 to go up 3-0. But the Cardinals rallied when Neely outlasted Mackenzy Middlebrook 7-4, 7-6 (8-6). Sawyer beat Ali Despain 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 and Verma dropped her first set but came bac to win at No. 5 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 to tie the match at three.

The match came down to the No. 6 spot where Jelena Vujanic battled Laura Marti to three sets before falling 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 win.

The match was the last ACC regular season competition. The Cardinals will play Butler on April 17 and celebrate Senior Day at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
