Cardinals win 25-19, 25-18, 25-18

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sophomore Aiko Jones had 15 kills and two blocks to lead the University of Louisville to a 3-0 win over Wake Forest in ACC volleyball action on Senior Day Sunday afternoon in L&N Federal Credit Union Arena.

The Cardinals move to 7-2 and 7-2 in the ACC with the 25-19, 25-18, 25-18 win. Louisville hit .337 with six blocks, four aces and had 48 kills to WFU's 29. Cardinal seniors Piper Roe and Alexis Hamilton made their mark as well. Roe had five kills on six swings and had five blocks. Hamilton had a match-high 13 digs. Anna Stevenson had 10 kills, hit .600 and was nails at the service line with a match-high three aces. Tori Dilfer had dtwo kills, four digs and a match-high 32 assists.

Wake Forest drops to 0-8 and 0-8 with the loss. The Deacons were led by Caroline Kuhn's nine kills. Ashley Slater had seven kills and a block. Wake hit .177 with eight service errors, three aces and five blocks.

The Cardinals continue ACC play next weekend when they travel to Clemson to face the Tigers March 12 at 5 p.m. Duke will be the third school in the pod and the Cards take on the Blue Devils March 13 at 4 p.m.
