LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sophomore Hana Ryskova posted a top-10 finish as the University of Louisville women's golf team placed 13th at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic in Athens, Ga., on Sunday.
Facing their most difficult challenge of the spring, the Cardinals shot a 19-over-par 307 on Sunday to finish the three-day event at 51-over-par. UofL carded a 295-313-305=915 at the UGA Golf Course.
South Carolina won the tournament at 17-over-par while Ole Miss was second and Kentucky finished third.
Ryskova tied for 10th overall after shooting a 1-over-par 73 on Sunday to finish the event at 4-over-par. She shot 71-76-73=220 for the tournament.
Starting off with a birdie on the first hole, Ryskova played the first nine holes at even-par. The sophomore would register two bogeys and a birdie on the final nine holes to finish the round one shot over par.
Lauren Hartlage ended the tournament in a tie for 26th after finishing at 9-over-par. She shot 72-76-77=225 to post the second-best finish for the Cardinals at the Liz Murphey.
If it wasn't for a difficult second round, Margot Bechadergue would have posted stellar numbers against a difficult field. The senior shot a pair of 2-over-par rounds that were sandwiched around an 81 to conclude the tourney in a tie for 40th.
Agustina Gomez-Cisterna tied for 83rd after shooting 79-80-83=242, while Mairead Martin finished in 89th after she carded a 78-84-86=248.
The Cardinals return to action March 26-28 at the Clemson Invitational.
