FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Louisville's Sterling Warner-Savage earned first team All-American status after finishing seventh in the 60m finals of the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Â
Competing in his first NCAA final, Warner-Savage clocked a time of 6.67, his third-best time of the season, which stands tied for fourth on Louisville's all-time list. Warner-Savage owns the school record and Louisville's top 10 times in the event.
Â
"Another strong race from Sterling today," said UofL head coach Dale Cowper. "He has done a tremendous job of growing his consistency throughout the indoor season and has clearly shown that he belongs with the NCAA's elite sprinters. It has been fun to watch his development over the last three seasons. He's not satisfied but we are proud of the progress he continues to make."
