
Nicosia Named to ACC All-Freshman Team

Nina Nicosia is just the second UofL women’s soccer student-athlete to be named to the ACC All-Freshman Team, joining Emina Ekic in 2017.
LOUISVILLE, Ky.— University of Louisville women's soccer freshman midfielder Nina Nicosia has been named to the 2021 ACC All-Freshman Team.
Nicosia recorded three goals and four assists for 10 points in 16 contests for the Cardinals. Her most impressive performance of the season came in the Cardinals' season opener and her collegiate debut against Western Michigan when she scored two goals to help lead Louisville to a 6-2 victory.
In addition to her offensive numbers, Nicosia started 15 of the 16 games, which was the most starts for any freshman on the roster.
