
Louisville Announces 2021 Lacrosse Schedule

The schedule features eight contests at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville lacrosse head coach Scott Teeter announced the 2021 schedule on Monday, which features eight contests at UofL Lacrosse Stadium and nine against opponents that finished in last year's IWLCA Top 25 - No. 1 North Carolina, 2. Notre Dame, 4. Syracuse, 8. Florida, 15. Virginia, 18. Duke, 19. Boston College, 24. Virginia Tech and 25. Colorado.

"We are very excited about the upcoming season. We have put together a very challenging non-conference schedule and then you have the gauntlet that is the ACC," said Teeter. "We understand that this season will present unique challenges, but we are anxious to get started."

The Cardinals open their season on Saturday, Feb. 13 at home with a matchup against Florida. The opener starts a four-game homestand for the Cards as they welcome in Colorado on Feb. 18, Notre Dame on Feb. 28 for the first ACC matchup of the year and Cincinnati on March 3.

Louisville then hits the road for a three-game trip as they face off against ACC opponent Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. on March 6. The team will make their way to Central Michigan on March 12 and then to Marquette on March 14 for the final two non-conference games of the season.

The Cards then host North Carolina, last year's top ranked team, on March 20 before hitting the road for three consecutive games.

The month wraps up when Louisville travels to Chestnut Hill, Mass. for two games against Boston College on March 26 and 28. The Cards then open the month of April on the road in Blacksburg, Va. to face off against Virginia Tech on April 3.

UofL then comes home for three straight, hosting Duke on April 10 and Syracuse on April 16 and 18.

Louisville concludes the regular season as they travel to South Bend, Ind. to take on Notre Dame on April 24.

The Cardinals will be led by their five captains, Caroline Blalock, Sarah Blalock, Rachel Florek, Ally Hall and Alex McNicholas, who were announced late last week.
