Tin Chen in National Singles Rankings

The University of Louisville's Tin Chen will open the 2021 season at No. 71 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men's Tennis Preseason Singles Rankings.

Chen, a senior from Pintung, Taiwan, finished last season with a team-best 21-7 overall singles record and 6-4 mark in dual matches as the Cardinals' No. 1 player in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 campaign. After transferring to Louisville from ASA Miami Junior College, Chen became the first Louisville player to win the ITA Ohio Valley Singles Championship in 2020 and subsequently qualified for the ITA Oracle National Fall Championship.
UofL will open the 2021 season on January 23 when the Cardinals play host to Bellarmine in a double header. The complete schedule will be released in the upcoming days.
