September 04, 2020 | Cross Country
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville head coach Dale Cowper has released the 2020 Cross Country schedule. The Cardinals will compete in three meets during the regular season before traveling to Cary, North Carolina for the ACC Cross Country Championships.
"I've never been more excited to announce a schedule than this fall," said Cowper. "We are blessed to have the opportunities in front of us. Our students and staff are extraordinary grateful of the effort our administration, medical experts, and the ACC has put forth to support our Cross Country program."
UofL will open the season on September 19 when the Cards head to South Bend, Indiana for the Irish Classic. The Cardinals will stay home for their second competition, the Live in Lou Cross Country Classic, which is hosted by the Greater Louisville Sports Commission and will be held October 3 at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park. Two weeks later, the team will wrap up the regular season at UAB's Blazer Classic in Hoover, Alabama on October 16.
The 2020 ACC Cross Country Championships will be held on October 30 at WakeMed Park in Cary, North Carolina.
The 2020 Cardinals return 10 letterwinners and add one newcomer to the men's team. On the women's side, Louisville welcomes back five returners including 2019 All-ACC performer Ivine Chemutai and two-time All-American Dorcas Wasike, while seven newcomers will join the team.
