Women's Tennis Names as ITA All-Academic Team

Dina Chaika, Jelena Vujanic and Nikolina Jovic win individual honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's tennis team has earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team honors, while Dina Chaika, Jelena Vujanic and Nikolina Jovic were named ITA Scholar Athletes as announced by the organization today.

The Cardinals posted a team GPA of 3.480 with Chaika, Vujanic and Jovic each registering  a cumulate year GPA of 3.5 or higher in the 2019-20 academic year. Jovic, in fact, posted a perfect 4.0 for the semester.Â
 In 2020, 1430 Division I women's tennis student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete and 244 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.
The Cardinals had their season end abruptly with the pandemic cancelling all spring sports. UofL was 8-6 when the season shut down. The Cards are lead by Head Coach Mark Beckham. who is in his 13th year as UofL head coach for the women, after serving as the men's assistant coach from 1992-2007.
