June 15, 2020 | Rowing
Triem comes to the Ville from Santa Clara
Elle Triem of Erie, Colorado will join the University of Louisville rowing team as a transfer according to Head Coach Derek Copeland.
Â
"We are excited by Elle's drive to compete with our team," said Copeland. "She is eager to grow, compete for championships, and utilize the academic and professional opportunities provided by our University and the City of Louisville. She will fit in quickly and we are confident that she will hit her stride right away. She will also be able to use her previous experiences to add different perspectives to our program. Strong athletes with strong character always find a way to enhance the team's speed. We are thrilled to welcome her to the family."
Â
Triem, a business major, will be a sophomore after rowing with the Broncos for a season that was upended by the CoVID-19 pandemic.
Â
"I chose Louisville because of the competitive business school and to be a part of a team and under a coaching staff that will help me be the best rower and person I can be," said Triem. "The coaches have been nothing but supportive during this transition and I am super thankful for that. I'm excited for the coming season and can't wait to compete together towards our goals."
