The freshman from Buenos Aires had her freshman season cut short
Throughout the remainder of the 2020, we will check in with the players on the University of Louisville women's tennis team as they complete their semesters online. This week we check in with Andrea Di Palma of Buenos Aires, Argentina.Â
Q: What is your full name?
A: Andrea Agostina Farulla Di Palma

Q: What is your favorite pump-up song?
A: Never say Never - Justin BieberÂ

Q: What is your favorite pregame meal?
A: Banana.
Q: Where is your favorite place you have competed?
A: Budapest, Hungary. World cup 2016
Q: Excluding your sport, what is your favorite sport to watch?
A: Swimming, is my second favorite sport.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: Finding Nemo.
Q: What is a hobby that you have that most people do not know you have?
A: Cooking.
Q: Do you have any pregame rituals?
A: During the warm-up, I listen to some reggaeton songs and dance before the game, that takes my nerves and being more relaxed :). And I always say to myself "just be present, have fun and play like a champion."Â
Q: If you could pick any college to compete against, who would it be?
A: Let anyone come! (haha).
Q: Who is your hero/role model?
A: My mother, she is everything.
Q: If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: It is always a good time to eat a pizza, no matter what or when.Â
Q: What is your favorite animal to see at the zoo?
A: Now I don't like the zoo, but when I was young I liked polar bears and penguins.
Q: What is your biggest pet peeve?
A: Waking up early (haha).
Q: If you could go against anyone one-on-one, who would it be?
A: Nick Kyrgios.
Q: If you could see one artist in concert, who would it be?
A: JUSTIN BIEBER!!!!!!Â
Q: What is your favorite song to sing karaoke to?
A: Hold The Line - TOTO
Q: What is one thing most people do not know about you?
A: My thoughts.
Q: Besides your own, what is one sport you wish you were really good at?
A: Diving.Â
Q: Who is your celebrity crush?
A: JUSTIN BIEBER (of course) and Matt LeBlanc.
Q: What celebrity do people often say you look like?
A: Megan Fox and Serena Williams.Â
Q: Who is your favorite fictional character?
A: Chucky :)Â
Q: What is your best memory/experience playing your sport?
A: Win the gold medal and be South American champions in 2016 and qualify for the World Cup.Â
Q: Why did you choose Louisville?
A: For the bond and the positive communication that I had with the coaches from the beginning and also on the recommendation of one of my partners who was already in Louisville.Â
Q: How do you know coming to Louisville was the right decision for you?
A: Before I came to the university, I had two days to visit the campus but at that time it was hard to tell if the decision was the right one. Today, I am very happy and satisfied to have chosen Louisville.Â
Q: What is one thing our program has taught you?
A: In sports, the teamwork. Academically, perfecting the language.Â
Q: What is your favorite thing about our team/program?
A: The passion of the coaches.
Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at Louisville? Â
A: To have the possibility to improve myself both academically and sports, and to interact with those who are in the same position and share.Â

Q: What do you miss most about being on campus?
A: I miss the competition and my teammates. And after training, going to Starbucks :)

Q: What are you doing with yourself during your free time?
A: Spend time with my mom and my friends.
Â
Q: What's one thing you wish you had with you during this time?
A: A tennis court and gym in my house. I can't choose between those two, I love tennis and I love the gym.Â

Q: How are you continuing to stay in shape during this time?
A: It is very difficult for us to train when we are locked up in our houses, because we do not have the same schedules that we used to have, and we cannot even go out for a run, we have to settle for what we have at home, like using bottles for weight training. I am training hard every day with what I have. It is difficult but we do what we can.

A: We do every week video calls and also we keeping in contact in social media.Â
