Checking in with Sergio Hernandez

Throughout the remainder of the 2020 spring semester, we will check in with the players on the University of Louisville men's tennis teams as they complete their semesters online. Next up is sophomore Sergio Hernandez.
As the Cardinals' season ended, Hernandez had complied a 16-9 overall record in singles with a 7-6 mark in dual matches. He paired with fellow sophomore Fabien Salle to led the team in doubles with an overall record of 13-3.

What do you do in your downtime?
I try to study or listen to music.
Have often do you communicate with your team?
I have communicated with my teammates almost every day and with my coaches two times per week.
Are you doing any sorts of workouts from home?
I'm doing workouts every day in my home.
Do you have a favorite "binge" show or series that you are watching?
My favorite series is called "The Final of the Paradise."
What is your favorite quote, saying or motto?
My favorite quote is, "It is what it is."
Do you play an instrument, sing, speak multiple languages or have an unusual skill/hobby?
I speak Spanish and English.
How do you think your friends would describe you?
I think my friends describe me as a happy and energetic person.
What is your favorite social media platform?
My favorite social media platform is Instagram.
What words of support or encouragement would you send fellow student-athletes?
You should do what you like most and always remember to have fun.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Roger Federer because he is a great person and the best of the best at tennis.
What are some of the top moments/favorite memories from your career so far?
Being with my teammates and playing at UofL.
