Each week we will be sitting down to get to know one of our Louisville rowing student-athlete. This week, we get to know Emmy Wuensch. She is a sophomore from Charlottesville, Virginia and is an exercise science major. She was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll in her first season with the Cards and rowed on the 2v8+ boat in two fall events.

Rivanna Romp, Charlottesville VA because it is my hometown

What is your best memory/experience playing your sport?
Racing at the Rivanna Romp with my Louisville teammates and knowing that all of my friends and family from home are watching because I rowed on the Rivanna in High School. That will always be my favorite race.

I have met my ultimate best friends here and feel that I have really grown into the best version of myself.

That no matter how tough a situation is, you can and you will get through it.

My best friends!!

What is the best part about being a student-athlete at Louisville?
I know there are people here who really care about me and my success

What do you miss most about being on campus?
Having a set schedule and routine, and of course my friends!

Playing LIFE on the wii, hiking, kayaking, running in parks, spending quality time with my family.

What's one thing you wish you had with you during this time?
My own personal rowing boat so I could row even with everything going on!

How are you continuing to stay in shape during this time?
A ton of running in parks because they haven't closed those yet!!!!!
