Cardinals to compete at the Tyson Invitational, Hoosier Hills Invitational and the Music City Challenge
Louisville, Ky. – In their final outing before the ACC Indoor Championships, the University of Louisville men's and women's track and field team will compete in three different meets this weekend. The Cardinals will compete at the Hoosier Hills Invitational, Music City Classic, and Tyson Invitational on Friday. Louisville will wrap up the weekend of competition at the Tyson Invitational on Saturday.
The Hoosier Hills Invitational will take place on Friday, Feb. 14 at the Gladstein Fieldhouse. Competition will begin Friday at 4 p.m. with the women's 60m hurdles, and conclude with the men's 4x400m relay at 8:55 p.m. The meet will feature host Indiana, Evansville, Indiana State, South East Missouri State, and Union College, McKendree University.
Dorcas Wasike, Ivine Chemutai and Bailey Beery will compete at the Music City Classic on Friday. The Music City Classic will take place at the Vanderbilt Student Rec Center. The three athletes will compete in the 5,000m run which will have two sections beginning at 8:25 p.m. The meet will feature host Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Purdue, Alabama, Illinois, Mississippi State, and Michigan State.
The Cardinals will have 22 athletes set to compete at the Tyson Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15. The meet will take place on the University of Arkansas' campus at the Randal Tyson Track Center. Action will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday with the women's long jump and conclude at 6:50 p.m. with the women's 400m. On Saturday, field events will begin with the women's pole vault at 11:30 a.m. and the day will wrap up with the women's 4x400m relay at 3:55 p.m. The meet will feature host Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Northwestern, Oklahoma, and LSU.
