
Murphy Leads Cardinals After Two Rounds at the Mobile Sports Authority

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - John Murphy and Devin Morley of the University of Louisville men's golf team sit in a tie for fifth place to lead the Cardinals after two rounds of the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate on Monday.
Collectively, the Cardinals are tied for fourth with UAB after shooting a 13-under-par 563. Texas State is the leader at 23-under-par, while Florida State is in second place after carding a 17-under (278-281) through the first two rounds The Cardinals were in fifth after the first round of action after firing a 280 and moved into a tie for fourth after carding a 283.
Murphy, who picked up his first win in the fall, picked up where he left off by shooting a 5-under-par 139, scoring a 69 on the first 18 holes. Morley, who opened the day with a 1-over-par 73, responded with a 6-under-par 66 to also move into a tie for fifth place.
Trevor Johnson is tied for 10th place after 36 holes by shooting a 68-72=140, while Jiri Zuska is tied for 21st after his two-round score of 69-73=142. Matthias Schmid battled back after his first round of 75 to shoot a 68 in the afternoon to sit in a tie for 29th. Keegan de Lange is tied for 65th.Â
The Cardinals return to the course on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
