
Women’s Lacrosse Adds Kokoro Nakazawa for 2021 Season

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's lacrosse announced they have added attacker Kokoro Nakazawa for the 2021 season.
A native of Yokohama, Japan, Nakazawa comes to Louisville from Nihon University Senior High School.
"Kokoro is a pure goal scorer with great hands, a creative stick and a high IQ. She is one of the top players from Japan and comes from a very athletic family. We are very excited to have her join our program," said head coach Scott Teeter.
Nakazawa led Nihon to three championships and three times was named the team's Most Valuable Player.
She also was a member of Japan's U19 team at the 2019 World Lacrosse Championship in Ontario, Canada. At the conclusion of the event, she was named to the event's All-World Team.
