John Murphy is tied for second after shooting a 7-under-par 137.
DURHAM, N.C. --Senior John Murphy shot 7-under par on Saturday as the No. 12 University of Louisville men's golf team stands in third place after 36 holes at the 10th annual Rod Myers Invitational at the Duke Golf Club.

The Cardinals fired a 10-under-par 566, which is 11 shots behind Duke for the overall lead. Wake Forest is second after shooting a 15-under-par 561. The Blue Devils hold a six-stroke lead over the 13-team field heading into Sunday's final round.

With Louisville looking to chase down its first RMI title, the Cardinals will tee off at 9:17 a.m. ET in Sunday's final round and are paired with Wake Forest and Duke.

Murphy fired a 137 for the two rounds, carding a 1-under-par in the first round and led the Cardinals in the second round with a 6-under-par 66. He carded six birdies in the second round and an eagle on No, 14 to sit in a tie for second place after two rounds.

Matthias Schmid, a preseason All-American, got his junior season off to a good start by shooting a 4-under-par 140, including a first round of 68 to stand in a tie for ninth. Devin Morlet was the third UofL player to shoot under par after his 73-69=142. At 2-under-par, Morley is tied for 15th overall with one round to play.

Trevor Johnson is tied for 34th after his 4-over-par 76-72-148 and Keegan de Lange returned to action to sit in 44th place after his 8-over-par 150.
