
Rowing Ties Program Record with 10 All-ACC Academic Team Selections

It's the second straight year the rowing program had 10 student-athletes selected
GREENSBORO, N.C. - The University of Louisville tied a program record with 10 student-athletes named to the All-ACC Academic Rowing Team as announced by the league on Wednesday (June 19)

The list of 10 Cardinals is headlined by two-time All-ACC Academic honoree Abbi Fitts. She is joined by six fellow seniors in Perie Howard, Mallory Burnett, Margaret Geraghty, Lucie Heranova, Madison Luette, and Caroline Lynch. Sophomores Haylee Judge and Violette Legrand were also selected along with freshman Misia Partyga.

On the water, Legrand is a two-time All-ACC Second Team selection and was the 2018 ACC Freshman of the Year. Howard was the coxswain of the V8+ boat that took fifth at the ACC Championships and also consisted of fellow All-ACC Academic honorees Legrand, Heranova, Lynch, Fitts, and Partyga.

Judge and Burnett were members of the 2V8+ boat coxswained by Geraghty that took sixth at the ACC's. Luette competed at the ACC Championship in the Cardinal's 2V4+ boat that took second in the petite final.

To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
