Seeds and Lane Assignments Announced for ACC Championship

Varsity eight seeded fifth and second varsity eight seeded sixth
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Thursday afternoon both the seeds and lane assignments for the 2019 ACC Rowing Championship.
The event will begin with preliminary heats on Friday, May 17 beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by the finals on Saturday at 8 a.m. The seeds for the championship were determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.
In the varsity eight, Louisville was seeded fifth and will compete in lane 3 during the first heat. The second varsity eight was seeded sixth and will compete in lane 3 of the second heat. The third varsity eight is seeded fifth and will also compete in lane 3 of the opening heat.
The first varsity four earned the team's highest seed at four and will compete in lane 4 of the first heat. Finally, the second varsity four is ranked fifth and will compete in lane 3 of the first heat.
ACC Network Extra coverage is available for prelims on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by the finals from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday. Jerry Massey will handle play-by-play and will be joined by analyst Steve Pritzker, a former rowing head coach at Iowa.
