Course Debris Cancels Remainder of Clemson Invitational

Cardinals' V8 and 2V8 crews race, but results are cancelled

CLEMSON, S.C. – Due to high winds and poor racing conditions from debris on the Lake Hartwell course, the remainder of the Clemson Invitational has been cancelled.

After a delayed start to clear debris from Friday's storms, the varsity eight and second varsity eight crews were able to compete in their heat sessions before competition was halted. As a result of the course conditions, the unofficial results from today's races were abandoned.

The Cardinals will now turn their attention to a dual regatta against Michigan and Michigan State on Sunday, May 5 at 9 a.m. in Ann Arbor, Mich. These races will serve as the Cards' final tune-up before they return to Clemson for the ACC Championship on May 17-18.
