Louisville Set to Host Notre Dame and Wright State

Cards will play a doubleheader Sunday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 46 University of Louisville men's tennis team will close out an eight-match home stand this weekend with a doubleheader against No. 13 Notre Dame and Wright State on Sunday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Cardinals will face off against the Fighting Irish at 1:30 p.m., followed by Wright State at 6:30 p.m.
About Louisville Men's Tennis
Last time out, the Cardinals (11-4, 1-1 ACC) dropped a hard-fought 4-3 decision to Northwestern, their first loss at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center this season.
Louisville won the doubles point and tallied a pair of singles victories from Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff and Sergio Hernandez, but it was not enough as the Wildcats claimed the final two singles points of the match to secure the win.
Hernandez holds the Cards' top dual match singles record at 12-1 from No. 4 and No. 5. Gomez has also had a solid senior season with a dual match record of 10-2 from Nos. 3-5.
In doubles, Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff and Fabien Salle are the Cards' top duo with a 7-3 record, including six wins at the one-spot.
Notre Dame
Series Record: Louisville leads 11-10.
Last Meeting: March 10, 2018 – The Cardinals fell 4-3 at Notre Dame.
Scouting the Fighting Irish: Notre Dame (9-6, 2-0 ACC) began the season with a six-match winning streak, but posted five straight losses throughout the month of February against teams ranked in the ITA Top-20. In their last outing, the Irish downed Michigan State 5-2 at home. In doubles, Richard Ciamarra and Tristan McCormick checked in at No. 15 in the latest ITA national rankings. Alex Lebedev leads the Irish with the No. 17 ranking in singles, followed by Ciamarra at No. 63.
Wright State
Series Record: Louisville leads 10-0.
Last Meeting: February 9, 2018 – The Cardinals won 7-0 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
Scouting the Raiders: The Raiders (7-7) recently snapped a four-match win streak with a 4-3 loss to St. Bonaventure on Monday. In doubles, Param Pun and Lorenzo Maccarini are 10-3 in dual match action, playing primarily at the one-spot. Pun is also the Raiders' top singles player with a 10-4 record at No. 1 and No. 2, and has won No. 1 singles over Wright State's last six matches.

The Cardinals will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. to take on defending national champion Wake Forest. Match time is slated for 4 p.m.
