
Dorcas Wasike Debuts in the 10,000m with the Best Time in the Nation

Distance runners finish with four top five finishes at the Raleigh Relays
RALEIGH, N.C. – Dorcas Wasike picked up a win for the Cardinals as distance runners from the University of Louisville track and field team earned four top-five finishes on Friday at the Raleigh Relays.
Wasike opened her outdoor season with a win in the 10,000m invitational section, clocking a time of 33:28.30. Her time ranks as the top time in that nation this season.
Albert Kosgei also grabbed a win on the men's side in the 3000m steeplechase. Kosgei finished with a personal best time of 8:47.50. In the men's 10,000m invitational section, Emmanuel Cheboson ran a personal-best 28:42.50 to finish in fifth place.
Chandler Austin finished in second place in the 10,000m with a time of 29:28.34 to open his outdoor season and round out the top-five finishes for the Cardinals.
To finish up the weekend of competition, the jumpers, sprinters and throwers will compete at the Ole Miss Classic beginning at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
