The Cardinals enter the final round four shots off the lead.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team is tied for second place after two rounds of the Linger Longer Invitational in Greensboro, Ga.
Entering the second day with a four-shot lead over the field, the Cardinals struggled to a 2-over-par 290 to sit in a tie with Liberty and Georgia -- four shots behind Alabama, which is the leader at 12-over-par. The Cardinals will be paired with Liberty and North Carolina-Greensboro, with the squads beginning play at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
After finishing with the lead after shooting a career-best round of 65 on Friday, Jiri Zuska carded a 1-over-par 73 to slip into fourth place overall. The rookie birdied four holes on the day, but a double bogey on No. 15 out him over par for the round. He sits just three shots off the lead, trailing Penn State's J.D. Hughes and Alabama Josh Sedeno, who are the leaders after shooting 65 and 67, respectively.
Matthias Schmid slipped into a tie for eighth after carding a second round 73, while John Murphy shot an even par 72 to sit in a tie for 18th. Devin Morley is 38th after shooting an even-par-72, while Trevor Johnson is in a tie for 64th after firing a 5-over-par 77.
