Cardinals Open 2019 Outdoor Season in Houston

Outdoor season begins at the Houston Spring Break Invitational.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track and field team travels to Houston, Texas to open the 2019 outdoor season at the Houston Spring Break Invitational.
The meet will take place all day Thursday at the Carl Lewis International Complex. The Invitational will begin with the hammer throw at 10 a.m. and finish with the men's 4x400m later in the afternoon. The Cardinals will face host Houston, South Florida, SMU, and Rice, among others.
Making their 2019 outdooor debuts, senior Holly Hankenson will return to the track and compete in several events while sophomore Emma Ison will be competing in the javelin throw. Junior Gianna Gaul and senior Lilli Popovich will also compete for the first time this season in discus.
