
Cardinals Close Fall Season with a Third-Place Finish

Keegan de Lange posts career-best finish by placing second.
EWA BEACH, O'ahu– Keegan de Lange posted a career-best finish to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team to third place at the inaugural Hoakalei Country Club Invitational on the island of O'ahu on Wednesday. The Cardinals closed the fall season with a pair of wins and three third-place finishes.
Tied for the overall lead to start the day, the Cardinals shot a 5-under-par 283, but wasn't enough to overcome East Tennessee State, which shot a 15-under-par to take home the tournament win, Ole Miss placed second overall, defeating the Cardinals by a single stroke. CSU-Fullerton was fourth and UMKC ended the day in fifth.
Entering the final round at 4-under-par, De Lange carded a 5-under-par 67 to finish in a tie for second place at 70-70-67=207. It was his best finish since placing in a tie for third place at the Mobile Sports Authority in 2016-17.
Devin Morley was tied for ninth overall after he shot a 69-68-73=210 to end the day at 6-under-par, while Jiri Zuska tied for 11th after firing a 5-under-par 71-70-70=211.
Trevor Johnson was the fourth Cardinal to finish in the top 20 by placing 19th overall with a 71-68=75=214, while Matthias Schmid tied for 25th after his rounds of 74-69-72=215.
John Murphy tied for 57th overall with his rounds of 73-73-74=220.
