The Cardinals kick off the tournament at 10:00 a.m. ET against Marquette. They will face Butler at 1:30 p.m. ET.
In addition, Marquette will square off against Butler in between games.
Â
"We're excited to get fall play started against two quality opponents in Marquette and Butler," said head coach Scott Teeter. "We have a young team, but I have been encouraged by the way they have stepped up in fall practice."
Â
The Cardinals opened last season with wins in five of their first six games before finishing the year at 6-11.
They return just two seniors in Tessa Chad and Brenna Shanahan. Chad ranked second on the team with 42 goals and 49 points in her first year as a Cardinal, while Shanahan appeared in just four games after suffering a season-ending knee injury.
Sophomore Caroline Blalock returns after being named All-ACC Second Team, IWLCA All-Region Second Team and ILWomen All-Rookie Team a year ago. She played in all 17 games, leading the Cardinals with 43 goals, 55 points and 24 caused turnovers.
