April 12, 2018 | Women's Lacrosse
The Cardinals and the Cavaliers will square off at 12 p.m ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville women's lacrosse (6-8, 0-5) returns to UofL Lacrosse Stadium for its senior day matchup against No. 15 Virginia on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET.
Â
The Cardinals are 6-8 on the season and looking to notch their first conference win in the Teeter era. Â
"We have to limit our mistakes. In the ACC, they're all great teams and when you make mistakes, they are going to make you pay," said head coach Scott Teeter. "If we can limit our mistakes and value the ball, we're talented enough that we can make plays."
Â
The Cardinals will recognize 11 seniors prior to the game on Saturday. The senior class has compiled 39 wins in four seasons. They advanced to the NCA Tournament in 2015, 2016 and 2017 and three times finished the season ranked in the Top 25, including the 2016 season where they finished a program-best ninth in the country.
"Our senior class is a group of great lacrosse players, but they are fantastic individuals that have a great, successful future upon them," said Teeter.
