
Caroline Blalock Named Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American

As a freshman, Blalock led the team with 43 goals, 55 points, and 24 caused turnovers.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville lacrosse sophomore Caroline Blalock has been named preseason All-American honorable mention by Inside Lacrosse.

A team captain for the second consecutive season, Blalock was named All-ACC Second Team, ILWomen All-Rookie Team and IWLCA All Region Second Team at the conclusion of her freshman season.

She played in all 17 games with 14 starts, leading the team with 43 goals, 55 points, and 24 caused turnovers. Her 1.41 caused turnovers per game led the team and ranked fourth in the ACC, while her 2.41 ground balls per game ranked fifth in the ACC.

She scored a career-high five goals vs. Robert Morris and six times scored four goals (Marquette, Butler, Coastal Caroline, Duke, Mercer, Virginia). She led the team with nine hat tricks.

The Cardinals open the 2019 season at Northwestern on Friday, Feb. 8. After three road contests to start the year, they host Mercer on Sunday, Feb. 24.
