Teeter was one of nine coaches to speak at media day.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville women's lacrosse head coach Scott Teeter was one of nine head coaches to address the media at the 2018 Louisville Spring Sports Media Day.Â
He spoke about his first few months in Louisville, his outlook on the upcoming season, the senior class and more.
On what he has learned about his team in the first few months.
"Getting to know the players personally, getting to know them and their families. We're trying to do that at a fast rate. Now that we're on the lacrosse field, we're trying to figure out what their strengths and weaknesses are. We're also looking to see if we can put players in different situations or positions."
On expectations for this season.
"We're going to compete hard every day. We're going to be better at the end of the season than we are now. I want them to really be sponges and use the stepping stone approach. We need to go in prepared that we are going to win every game."
On the senior class.
"We've made the decision that we're going to have 24 leaders this year, we expect everyone to lead. The seniors are the glue of the team. Half of our team are freshman and they're really taking them under their wings. The seniors also took the four transfers in and made sure that they were welcomed and they got accustomed to the Louisville way."
The Cardinals open the 2018 campaign at Cincinnati on Feb. 9. Their home opener will take place on Feb. 11 against Marquette.
