Indoor Track & Field Heads to Notre Dame Invitational

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the third consecutive season, the University of Louisville men's and women's indoor track and field teams head north for the Notre Dame Invitational at the Loftus Sports Center on Saturday, Jan. 20. The meet begins at 10 a.m. with field events, before transitioning to running events at noon.

In addition to the hosting Fighting Irish, Louisville will face off against fellow ACC rival North Carolina, Cincinnati and DePaul. The Cards have placed second in both the men's and women's fields in their last two appearances at the invitational.

The Cards return to the track a week after posting two wins at the University of Kentucky Invitational. Emmonnie Henderson took first in the shot put with a season-best throw of 16.35m/53'73/4", while Javen Reeves and Jerin Allen earned the top two spots in the high jump event for their second-consecutive event. Elsewhere, Alexis Gibbons posted a second-place long jump of 5.93m/19'51/2" and Teague Peck finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 48.31.
