
Renee Poullott named Assistant Coach for Women's Lacrosse

She comes to Louisville after spending time with Scott Teeter at Canisius
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - It was announced today, that Renee Poullott has been named assistant coach for the University of Louisville women's lacrosse team. She comes to Louisville from Canisius, where she was an assistant coach under current University of Louisville head coach Scott Teeter.

During her stint at Canisius, she worked closely with goalkeepers and defenders, while assisting with recruiting, fundraising and team travel.

Poullott came to Canisius after finishing a successful four-year lacrosse career at Cornell. The Ivy League standout goalkeeper finished her career with an 8.40 goals against average, 453 saves, and a 41-23 record. In her final two seasons she recorded more than 10 wins, compiling a 27-11 record between 2016 and 2017.Â
With Cornell's win over Notre Dame in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, she became the winningest goalkeeper in program history and finished her career second in Big Red history in all-time saves (453).Â
Poullott also proved to be one of the nation's best, posting the eighth best save percentage in the country (.506) and the seventh lowest goals against average (8.62).
She was named IWLCA Regional All-American in 2016 and 2017, Second Team All-Ivy in 2016 and Honorable Mention All-Ivy in 2017. She also earned an Ivy League All-Tournament Team selection in 2016.
This past fall, she was drafted by the Upstate Pride of the Women's Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL). This summer will be the team's inaugural season.
She graduated from Cornell in 2017 with a BS in Development Sociology and a double minor in Communications and Education.
