Junior tabbed as a First Team All-Region selection in back-to-back seasons
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville junior Kirsti Harrison was named earlier this week as a First Team All-Region (Region 3) selection by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association.
This week's honor marked the second consecutive year Harrison has earned a First Team All-Region honor. A Belmont, Michigan native, Harrison competed in Louisville's varsity eight boat throughout the 2017 season and was an All-Atlantic Coast Conference Second Team honoree. These awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains from each of the five regions, organized into first and second-team selections.
Nominated student-athletes are evaluated on the strength of their team's regional finish, coaches recommendations and 2,000-meter erg score. Nominees must be eligible student-athletes who have competed in their teams' varsity boat in 75 percent of races this season. These athletes will be eligible for All-America awards selection to be announced next week.
