Track and Field Announces Summer Camp Dates
June 01, 2017 | Track & Field
The program will host the first ever track and field camp
LOUISVILLE, KY. - The University of Louisville track and field staff will be hosting an inaugural summer camp in June. Campers will have two camps to choose from, an outdoor track and field camp or the cross country/distance camp. The track and field camp runs from June 26-28 while the cross country/distance camp runs from June 28-30.Â
At the track and field camp, the Louisville veteran staff will break down the basics of technique and also dive into the complexities of throws, jumps, pole vault, hurdles, and sprints. Camp consists of field events, hurdles, and 100m-800m. It will provide a great opportunity to learn and develop skills in the speed and power events of track and field.Â
At the cross country and distance camp campers can take their individual gains and learn how to enhance your team's overall performance. Learn from the Louisville staff how to enhance your training, stay healthy, gain strength, and work on technical components to make you a more efficient and healthy distance runner.Â
