
Louisville to Host Two ACC Championships in the Fall

The Cardinals will host the ACC Cross Country and Field Hockey Championships
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Atlantic Coast Conference unveiled its championship dates and sites for the 2017-18 academic year on Thursday. The University of Louisville will host two championships in the fall, the ACC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships and the ACC Field Hockey Championship
The first ACC Championship events of the 2017-18 season will be held on October 27, as Louisville plays host to the Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, which will be run at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park. The Louisville campus will be the site of the 2017 ACC Field Hockey Championship on November 2, 3 and 5.
Louisville will also host the 2017 Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country National Championships on November 18. In 2012 and 2015, UofL served as host for the NCAA Cross Country National Championships at E.P. `Tom' Sawyer State Park. Louisville's home course also served as site of the 2007 and 2011 BIG EAST Conference Championships, and the 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2014 NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships.
The Cardinals will host the upcoming 2017 national championship and the event was also staged on the Cardinals' home field in 2002, 2005, 2008 and 2011. In addition, the NCAA Division II Championship was played at the facility in 2010. Located in Cardinal Park on the UofL campus, Trager Stadium opened in 2000 and was expanded in 2008 with a seating capacity of 2,500.
